You know what I really hate about making stuff inspired by popular pieces of media like Deltarune?

Whenever I make a character, and they seem just SLIGHTLY similar to another, more popular character, they are immediately compared and seen as

"Oh, so it’s just [insert famous thing] but worse?"

Like, I'm making some sprites for a character in The Flipside right now and I KNOW that everyone is just going to say

"YOU JUST RIPPED OFF TENNA!! YOU JUST MADE CAINE FROM THE DIGITAL CIRCUS!!! GET ORIGINAL IDEAS!!"

*inhale*

*exhale*

You're kidding, right? There are only so many character archetypes to choose from and combine together. Everything is just a version of something else.

Like can we just not say "Oh so this character is zany, chaotic and say weird stuff? It must be a ripoff!" and only compare when we should?

My point? I dunno. Just annoys me. Not even sure this makes any sense.

Did some concept art last night.

First one is a bird enemy, second is a NPC for a town later in the game.

If you know, you know.

I've unlisted the game pages for "The Floating Islands", "The Floating Islands: Christmas Chaos", "The Rift CH1-4" and added them to this archive.

Madeline is the main protagonist of the mountain climbing platformer, Celeste. The game has been praised for its visuals, gameplay, and introspective narrative. The game's creator Maddy Thorson confirmed that Madeline is trans in 2020.

Dive into the cozy post-apocalyptic open world of Critter Cove!

Gentleman Rat Studios (@GR-Rob ) describe it as “a little bit Animal Crossing, a little bit Stardew Valley. Maybe even a little bit Windwaker, too."

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

My reaction to @Mr-Bad 's cover of "THE OG" from @TheLinguini 's "The Underwalk".
