'Hello, Neighbor! Descent Into Madness' follows the first known story of 'Hello, Neighbor'. Our protagonist crashes into a utility pole which sends him into a coma. He is taken to our antagonist's, Mr. Peterson, residence where we learn he's hiding something in his basement. Whether of dark deeds or our protagonist is simply just misunderstanding, we don't know.

Despite the poll, I think I have to use the Alpha 1 style player or at the very least, a mix between both Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 (Visible player, floating items.) Alpha 2 animations are too hard to get working right now and it obscures your vision too much.

Cut chase music added in. I made sure to crop it in Audacity so it loops perfectly.

PS: Sorry if it's loud

It's a feature, not a bug.

I decided to move certain things to C++ to optimize the game a little more. This will ensure that things like picking up or interacting with objects don't rely upon the frame rate or update ticks.

UPDATE:

Should I stick with the alpha 2 animated player for the inventory or switch to alpha 1 styled pick ups?

I said a while back that platforming wasn't going to be a focus of this, however the game will not punish you if you choose to play it that way. I am thinking of adding platforming to the AI anyway.
