along with the campaign mode, there should also be difficulties, (easy, medium, hard, suicide) dictating how long the player has before the sun starts going nova. Yeah, it'd be different from how it is now, but it gives people a chance to finally evacuate planet Icarus (unless in suicidal difficulty, then Icarus dies immediately, as there's 0 prep time, just like how it is now)
Would also like to see a screensaver mode, where it's an ai going through a procedural campaign. Just for something extra to have.
Would like to see something like a creative/freebuild mode, an extended campaign where you start each mission with the previous one's evacuated population, and a pause/main menu, so that way we don't have to keep restarting when we're interrupted by other things
please add survival or endless mode! That would be so awesome!
Amazing. I literally spent the last half-hour continuously bombarding the sun with enough Fusion Inhibitors to the point it shrunk and I was able to reclaim two planets! ^_^
Suggestion: You should add a main menu and an "Endless Mode"
The game is set in the far future where our star, having exhausted all of it's hydrogen reserves, begins to turn into a red giant and engulf the inner planets. Harvest moons for metal and fuel, evacuate as many planets as you can and try to help humanity escape their dying sun.
Objectives
The aim of the game is to evacuate the colonised inner planets to the safer outer planets, with the ultimate aim to build an interstellar colony ship. You can build Deuterium and Metal Mines on moons in order to gain the resources required to build ships and buildings on the planets.
Buildings / Ships
Deuterium / Metal Mine - Mines for Deuterium / Metal
Small / Large Colony Ship - Used for transporting people to other planets
Terraforming - Used to Make the colder outer planets more habitable - Increases population growth rate.
Solar Mirrors - Slows population loss from the effects of solar radiation.
Fusion Inhibitor - Temporarily stops the sun from expanding
Lunar Colonisation - Colonised the closest moon to the planet, allowing mines to be built on Moons.
Solar Collectors - Increases mining rate on moons. Mining rate increases as the solar intensity increases.
Interstellar Colony Ship - Allows you to transport the human populace to a new star system.
Controls
WASD / Mouse - to scroll
Mouse Wheel - Zoom in and out
Left Mouse Button - Select moons, planets and ships.
Right Mouse Button - Move selected ship to another planet and cancel construction.
H - Recenter view
F1 - Show Help
F2 - Change anti-aliasing settings
