Note this is a revival of the team's project from a couple years ago. This is the link to the old version of the game for those wondering about its past development.
Immortal Chronicles - Old Alpha by Shatter-Fantasy - Game Jolt

Immortal Chronicles is a Metroidvania pixel art game that focuses on allowing the player to make choices that influences how the characters around him develop and how the map itself changes. Branching paths allow for players to get to different areas in different ways allowing for a variety of ways to play through the game.

The game will allow for interactive map elements to change based on what items you use in combat or what spells you use. Depending on what combat path you play you might be able to take different routes before getting certain items.

Don't want to do the quest for water walking boots than find some ice magic to freeze the water allowing for a new way to make it over to the other side. Maybe even find a way to the room above the underwater canal and try to bring the ceiling down to create a new path from the falling debris.

Enjoy some choices in your learning tree to find different ways to win against your enemies. Maybe try adding your spells to mid weapon combos to see how that works. Never know what might happen if you try casting ice magic while doing a down thrust with your sword.

The game will be worked on over a long period of time it won't be anytime soon it comes out, but we want to start sharing the new remade version of it.

Got new builds being prepared now for the project. Since the last post a lot of big things have started to come into the project. Read the article for the rundown.

Current release build: Private test 0.0.2 UI update

Version 0.0.2 overview article

This build is just to start getting the new logic of the UI code in game that was done after the development restart.
Note not all the original art is in yet.

Regarding our audio tracks here. We are uploading different versions than the old ones. We didn't see an edit volume button for Game Jolt, and we want to lower some of the starting volumes for a couple soundtracks. We took the old ones down for now.

The first test build of the restart of the project is now up.
Here is to the start of a full game dev cycle.
