this looks pretty nice - a stylish pixel-art metroidvania with deep lore? count me in! the logo looks great, the screenshot depicting the atmosphere looks inspiring and cool - the game has that dirty, robotic and somewhat post-apocalyptic artstyle that i dig!) i'll certainly look forward to updates on this game's development since it caught my interest, and to you, cregerBot, i wish the best of luck and nerves of steel while developing the game!) take care!

Sol is a 2D action platforming game that is story driven with metroidvania elements. The game is currently in development, but it is already set up to have a deep lore and world with interesting characters, intriguing plot, and excelling combat. Sol will also have some of the best visuals on the Flowlab engine.

Set in a desolate and murky world called Allegory, the Player must take control of the trusting robot, Sol, the light of the path. There is something that has been picking away at the Writer's mind, hopes, and dreams, and it is tearing their world apart. If he goes, they all go. Join Sol and his companions to find the glimmer of light in the darkness.

SOL is having a demo! These are the current screenshots for what will be the intro/demo of the game. The demo is set to release sometime THIS year, so keep an eye out for any updates!

What's new? Updated lighting FX, new atmosphere particles, updated ground lighting shaders, new foreground object shaders, new tunnel wall and light sprite and variations, and let's not forget a new AI testing level:D

SOL Pre-Alpha: Lighting and Parallax

Very happy with the lighting a parallax systems developed so far. The engine I'm using (Flowlab) does not have an official lighting or foreground parallax system, so I made one:)
