Finally played this game for a bit and I might've came across a bug. Right after I played Night 1, I was gonna continue onto Night 2... but whenever I pressed on Continue, it loaded me right back to Night 1 instead. (And I do have the most recent version of the game installed, Version 1.1.) So yea, that's the only sorta small bug that I came across whilst I was playin' this game for a bit. Aside from that tho, I really am enjoyin' this FNAF Game so far!
Is this still a thing?
The game looks decent and feels a lot more like a complete fan-game, in comparison to a huge portion of the recent "games" that we've seen on Game Jolt. There are however some problems that I'd like to point out:
The phone call in the first night is outrageously long; in fact, judging by how fast the clock moved after I stopped listening to it, the call lasts even longer than the night itself. Much like a huge portion of phone calls in fan-games, most of the script is just meaningless rambling that we have heard countless amount of times already, and it takes too long to finally get straight to the point and talk about how to deal with the animatronics.
Now I do have to mention that the mechanics are very straightforward (maybe not in a great way - I'll get to that in a bit), so even without the phone call you can easily tell how you're supposed to play the game. However, there is this humanoid animatronic that jumpscared me out of nowhere and I had no idea why, and my only assumption is that by the time the phone call starts to talk about him, I had already muted the call because it was taking too long and I was too bored to continue listening.
The mechanics are very straightforward as I've already mentioned, but they're too basic at the same time. Using a jammer? Heating up the vent? Using a mask? All three of them, despite having a slightly different appearance, are the same boring mechanic - click a button and that's it. Something that I always wish to see in a fan-game is the cameras being used to actually monitor the animatronics and not just use the 2-3 cameras that are near the office, which this game doesn't try to do (and to be fair, 99% of fan-games have the same problem. It doesn't hurt to make an attempt though).
And that's really about it, the rest of the game is pretty serviceable. Yet again, it feels like an actually complete fan-game, we don't really see it much lately.
