being a playtester for this game feels pretty good

Idk for sure if or when I'll get the chance to play through this, but I just gotta say I LOVE the menu theme! ^.^

WORLD ONE: CHAPTER ONE REVIEW

Plus sign means something good. Minus sign means something bad.

- chapter select screen is really slow

- cat sound for menu is degrading

+ Slimbo's talk sound is nice

- Human's can be a bit hard to hear. Maybe make it more distinct? idk

grammar "And this war has been happening for too long" add a period.

grammar "to be honest, I can't even remember the last time I walked into Carrot Kingdom" capitalize the first letter and add a period.

grammar "It's just stupid as hell, not all humans are bad" add a period.

- no Slimbo ASMR :(

grammar "We should probably get going now if we wanna get to Carrot Kingdom" add a period.

grammar "Oh yeah, we should it's already 3" the true correct way to phrase this (imo at least) would be "Oh yeah we should, it's already three!" but I think that if you just change it from 3 to three and add a period you're good.

grammar "Yeah" add a period.

grammar "Yes, yes it is" add a period.

grammar "Double Shot: Shoots enemies twice!" should be "Shoot an enemy twice!"

There are more grammar errors but at this point I'm sick of typing them every five seconds, just know there are a lot.

-Blocky Heights music doesn't fit in my opinion.

+ Battle theme is good.

BUG: If you are in front of a trigger to enter a new map and jump past it you'll go out of bounds.

There are borders here but no where else??

+ the gremlin battle sprite is nice.

- Lumi just kind of appears and it'd be nice if maybe there were like posters showing him and hinting to him idk

It'd be cool if after the fall they each lost a little health.

- Both of the K.K. Mongus battle themes gave me a IRL headache. I'm not even joking.

As seen in this screenshot the selection is broken. I choose pig a but it says K.K. Mongus or something like that.

But the idea of a boss changing how you attack is really cool! But if Human dies in this fight you're softlocked and have to die because Slimbo can't attack, doesn't have the timed attack and all he can do is heal.

- I wish it told me what each skill I learned did before I picked them. But the idea is cool.

BUG: Enemies can find you and if you sit still they won't do anything. This is because the trigger is PLAYER TOUCH and not EVENT TOUCH.

Is this a shadow of the castle or the castle itself? Call me stupid but I cannot tell. :P

+Carrot Man's battle theme is good

-Carrot Man was way too easy for a chapter final boss. Beat 'em in like under a minute.

All in all, I give it a 6.7/10. You used custom assets which is always a win in my book, same goes for using custom music. Not all of it was good but it's better than what I currently make. The story concept is good, though I wish Carrot Man was more skeptical to the idea as I think it'd fit but I won't tell you how to make a story.
