What do you think?

I noticed a strange Detail in the Demo,
that could easily become confusing in the finished Game:

In Data, there are 3 Medals and 4 Levels.
But the Demo has only 3 Levels.

Appearantly, Credits is a Level, according to Data.
But Credits shouldn't count as a Level because it's not Gameplay, it's the Staff Credits.

¿How about if Koppy has a big Brother named Kumper?

good stuff here

Underrated as hell keep up the good work ✌️

I played this on itch.io because the touch controls overlayed right over the screen on this site on my phone, but I just wanna say this is neat so far! The high jump mechanic seems like it could be used in cool ways.

I don't know if the game jolt demo differs in any way, but I just wanna point out that I have seen enemies walk off platforms and continue walking on thin air, you might want to do something about that. Anyways, best of luck!

CAVE LEVEL!

Watch out for spiders... And your step!

Done decorating the cave (with also some slight changes in general), I also changed some of the colours (Koppy's palette now varying from each level, etc.)

This new update might be out soon.

1st level almost done!

Coded a new enemy system: they appear in 10 different places, but in reality there's only 4 of them! (It's not clones, that might be impossible on Gameboy unfortunally)

Preview of the 1st level's final tiles (W.I.P)

I made some changes to the tileset itself too (and might make more).

Preview of the new 1st level: Now in vertical! (W.I.P)

If I put every single "1st level" I made into the game now then I'd have a full set of levels already

Also did some changes to the jump mechanic and did a bunch of optimization.

VERTICAL LEVEL!

Here you have to go up instead to the sides to complete the level (the jump mechanics work much better in this level format!)

This might or might not replace the existing horizontal (normal) levels.

Medals... Stars... All over the place!

Added star collectibles! You can collect 3 of them in each level. (Also updated many screens to include stats on your medals and stars.)

Decorated the level + extended it just a tiny bit. Also added more bird enemies to balance with the many mice enemies in the level

Still going to make more changes to the level (all of those checkerboard tiles at the start might not be visually appealing)

Art that I made for my game during the #Devruary challenge!

I didn't got to post these directly to the game page, so here's a post with most of them there!

Development flow is at max speed! I'm confident that I'm finally getting closer at properly finishing working on the Demo!

- Remaking the 1st level (W.I.P)

- Repurposed medals to be the end goal for levels

- End level screen (W.I.P)

- And more! Read

Remaking the first level! (Tile set not final)

Some of the feedback I got previously pointed out that the current level design felt too boring/empty, so now I'll remake the existing levels and change some aspects of the overall level design of the game.
