Steam Factory is partly a simulation, partly a tycoon game using isometric graphics in which you start your own steam-powered factory during the Industrial Revolution.
You can build your factory to your liking, taking engineering and safety, costs and practicality in consideration. The game simulates the various workings of a steam plant as well as the various machinery attached to it, so you have to take things as pressure, engine speed and boiler heat in consideration.
The story is that you inherit a small building and some money from your father and with it you plan to start your own factory empire. But all beginnings are humble and so is your first workplace, so you start off the game with a small workshop, eventually growing it into a massive factory. Of course this comes with all the intricacies of managing a steam plant (watch that pressure!), which at first you'll have to do yourself. Later on in the game you can start hiring engineers and other personnel to do these things for you, at the cost of salaries.

The Early Alpha version 0.2 is released!
New core feature: Orders. You'll now get requests for processed and shaped wood and it's up to you to decide if you can deliver on these. Your reputation depends on it... More details on my website!
New lineshaft wheels, small, large and medium. Thinking of adding an "extra large" wheel to connect to bigger engines/flywheels.
Progress on the factory machines: a bandsaw and vertical miller.
Slowly but steadily heading towards the version 0.2 release, with new/polished assets, an improved first level, and more polished gameplay mechanics and GUI.
The game is currently in Early Alpha, so beware there might be plenty of bugs and missing things. Don't hesitate to contact me or to comment here if you encounter one though!
