Build 20201118 released!

This is a small (but substantial) update to both Northbridge and the game’s internals to improve my workload. Since these focus on some future-proofing, you won’t see a lot (aside from the game being a lot bigger).

Game:

  • Re-structured parts of the game's engine.

  • Improved visibility in the dungeons.

Northbridge:

  • Moved to .NET 5.

  • Switched to the Chromium-based MS Edge for viewing pages.

    • A copy of Microsoft Edge WebView2 is included in this release.

Update 1: I've noticed a bug that broke the system. Rolling back to the old build.

Update 2: The hotfix is now live.

While I'm preparing August's Monthly Sync, I'm preparing a Trello board for the game. You can see what I'm working on here. https://trello.com/b/CjFyzH50/immortal-sins-game-development Pardon my dust, while I'm getting this up and running.

A bit of an old but goodie coming back: Quick Load! In an upcoming update, you can jump back to where you left off with a push of a button.

Taking the wraps off. For real this time.

Finally I have made a proper HUGE villager system where they can, move in, move out, walk, interact, talk, like you, love you, hate you, dislike AND like music, food, drink, have their hobbies, pet peeves and so on. I also did a setup wizard installer :)

Wrote a tool that installs the game's dependencies. That means Northbridge will always use the latest version of the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.

A small teaser for the next tech test.

Added the option to rebuild the cache. This will clear the cache and then decompress the files from the packages.

A look into the vehicle system coming in v2.1!

An updated title screen.
