BlockCrasher 1.1.0
Patch Notes - 2019/10/26

Although I thought I was done with this game, some people suggested various ways to improve it. So I have returned to this project to add some features and changes that were missing when I first released the game.

Additions:

  • Negative power-up - Small paddles

  • Negative power-up - Small blocks

  • Positive - Big paddles

  • Positive - Extra ball

  • Positive - Big balls

  • Visual indicator for blocks that contain power-ups

Changes:

  • Renamed the game to BlockCrasher

  • Adjusted ball collisions and movement speed

  • Improved player control over ball direction upon collision with paddles

  • Minor interface alignment changes

  • Minor code optimizations for improved performance

Bug Fixes:

  • Balls can no longer stick to the bottom of a paddle, preventing them from dropping off-screen

  • Ball drop sound effect does not change its audio pitch anymore

  • Fixed an internal grouping related bug

Figured out how to display the number of items found instead of displaying the same item multiple times. Might be a little hard to see them in the gif though :(
