Quick question for all my fellow smalldevs (1K followers or less) that wanna get big:

What ideas do you have for promotion of your games?

Mine usually just include participating in events, showing off game features, and drawing extra art like this.

#ATTN CREATORS OF ALL KINDS:

The online community is saturated - due to advancements in technology, there are often more creators than consumers. It'll take a minute to get traction regardless of quality, so don't give up on it.

Friendly reminder to everyone - it is wonderful to work on and promote your projects, but it is best to keep the topic of your commentary on other people's posts focused on their work, NOT YOURS.

As the screenshot shows, they may not count for much, but they count. That's why the GJ docs suggest we use them when we first make our game pages.
