Re: Vintage Marvel comic, TV series, and toy line.
The lens is heat formed worbla. The lights activate when the faceplate gets close enough to the helmet.
Quicksilver’s Helm, in silver!
Re: Vintage Marvel comic, TV series, and toy line.
This is actually a Marvel comic. It was a short lived TV series 65 episodes and comic book series. The helmet features magnetic reed switches for proximity activation of the eyes. Sliding hinges added on the back.

Rather than put away my pirate stuff, this year I made a wall mount for my mask, wigs, hat, and swords. I used some craft wire and seat belt shoulder pads to make the hanger.
The mask is 3D printed, one wig is Disney, the other Rubies. Swords are Rubies.
Predator Mask Phase 2 - Updated paint and finish.
Coated in faux pitted metal paint and air brushed weathering. Sprayed with mineral spirits to let the glaze under the paint distort for some metal scarring.
So much more to do…
Tutorial - Making small prints into bigger objects by fusing PLA prints.
In case you have never seen super glue activator nor acetone welding. The activator can be used on more than prints.
Our cat helm collection is looking cool. I
May do a cat Carnage next.
