Ok, a break from Quicksilver. I’ve taken a few days off to try and finish R4 this week. This will be his 6th sand and repaint. Paintin’ ain’t easy! Send me your good vibes, I could use the boost.

Quicksilver’s Helm, in silver!

Re: Vintage Marvel comic, TV series, and toy line.

This is actually a Marvel comic. It was a short lived TV series 65 episodes and comic book series. The helmet features magnetic reed switches for proximity activation of the eyes. Sliding hinges added on the back.

Rather than put away my pirate stuff, this year I made a wall mount for my mask, wigs, hat, and swords. I used some craft wire and seat belt shoulder pads to make the hanger.

The mask is 3D printed, one wig is Disney, the other Rubies. Swords are Rubies.

Predator Mask Phase 2 - Updated paint and finish.

Coated in faux pitted metal paint and air brushed weathering. Sprayed with mineral spirits to let the glaze under the paint distort for some metal scarring.

So much more to do…
