What do you guys think about customizations in shoot em ups? what is considered great customization?

I will work on a system that allows you to unlock and change the weapons of the ships depending on its type, not stricting each ship to a specific weapon

Someone can help me? How do I put gamejolt achievements into a game made with Gamemaker Studio 2?
