Total developments for today, half finished inventory system, some proper window skins, the first of the weather icons and the tiles for the max upgraded Hotel. Progression is going to be One story -> second wing - > second story.

Thought I'd make a quick edit to the thumbnail as the original text looked a little slapdash.

Right now Im setting up the base classes to be used to store item and tool data for the inventory. Seen here is the Tool class which deals with how an item works in relation to the inventory and the use methods.

Starting work on interior tiles to play around with In the unseen world of code ive been filling in animation data for tools and setting up code that will also allow different tiers of tools to be used.

Trees! spiky trees! These things turned out so well I couldnt help but add them in. With more basic tiles ready to be finished off the game world will begin to take shape and more features can be added. Along side sprites Im working on a mining system.

One thing Im keen to get working is the time and the weather system. Ive been trying to get some basic effects working so I will have something to play with after adding individual days.

Well first dev image here. Here we have the test guy im using to create the character controller, He has animations for walking and can move in the world, which is quite bare right now while more tiles are made.

So here we are! welcome to the development log for A day in the life. A game whos idea ive been tinkering with for the last two years and now im finally taking the plunge and doing it. Why not check back here and see what happens in time :)
