Welcome to the world of Compositrons! Compositrons are battling machines designed for arena combat sports. Collect them, upgrade them, reconfigure them, and, most importantly, battle with them in preparation for the ultimate Compositron trial: The Compositron MegaTourney!

To even be allowed to sign up for the Compositron MegaTourney, one must face and defeat 9 tough opponents in battle. These opponents are split into 3 categories, from weakest to strongest: Knights, Bishops, and Kings. These 3 categories are further split into 3 "metal" levels, from weakest to strongest: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Overcome the challenges set by the Knights, Bishops, and Kings, and you'll be allowed to sign up for the MegaTourney. Don't take too long, though, or the MegaTourney will be out of open spots before you can say "oh snap"!

Gameplay

Since the battle system is far from finished, gameplay details will be elaborated on at a later date. However, the current plan is that battles will take place on two 3x1 grids placed side-by-side to effectively make 1 larger 6x1 grid that each battler gets to use half of for moving around. Another planned feature worth mentioning is that turns will be simultaneous, with actions occurring in the following order: Switching Compositrons, movement, attacks, status effects. Lastly, the plan is that all attacks on any given Compositron will have 1 shared energy gauge which can be recharged mid-battle.

Stay tuned for more details on how the game will differentiate itself from other games in this sub-genre of RPG!

The Compositrons

Compositrons are special mechanical creations typically designed for arena combat. Though not all Compositrons are able to be classified as robots, most of them are. Controlling a Compositron is done through a special remote control, which also aids in the process of adding Compositrons to your collection (more info on that at a later date).

Your first Compositron

Players get a choice between one of three Compositrons to start the game: Blast Bot, Crush Bot, and Guard Bot, pictured below from left to right:

Customization

Customization mechanics haven't been added to the game yet, but the plan is that Compositrons will gain new attacks through items. Another key planned feature is that the moveset and Compositron will determine the level, not experience points.

Upgrades

Compositrons aren't always stuck with their default maximum stats and default set of learnable attacks: Some Compositrons are able to be upgraded to a more powerful form through various means.

Blast Bot, Crush Bot, and Guard Bot all have upgraded forms. What could they actually look like? Here's a hint:

I have no idea how I missed that before, but it has been fixed.
