Undertale: OVERGROWTH

Welcome to Overgrowth! You've just fallen down into a society where plants are taking over the area, an economical depression is occurring, all the while a zombie-like monster, who thinks you're some sort of "outside force" that determines fate, is hunting you down.

Now it's time for the summary of the plot without giving away spoilers.

After multiple resets of the game, you reopen Undertale and go to do another True Reset. However, when you open it, the intro plays normally, then glitches halfway through. After the glitch, things have changed. The game is now called "Overgrowth". You name the fallen human, confirm your name, and start playing. It looks different, from the amount of golden flowers to the human's sprite.

A character in the game knows what you've done. It remembers all the past timelines, it's counted it's deaths, it's counted the times you've forgiven it. It knows you, and it's mad at you for all the resets, all the different timelines, and outcomes you've caused. However, it doesn't know everything. It can't tell who's really caused all of this, it's confused on whether it was the human, or an "outside force" that controls them. It doesn't even know what's become of it, or why it hurts...

Enough about that guy!

After losing the war, the monsters settled Underground. Due to the lack of finance for the majority of it's citizens, and hardly any hope for escape, it falls into an economical depression. It's up to you to decide everyone's fate, and whether or not you can bring the underground back to it's former glory, all the while trying to return home. Oh, and there's plants. Thousands of plants. The only places that aren't overgrown with plants are Snowdin and Hotland, due to their climates. Characters are tied to certain plants, and even have abilities relating to them. You too, are tied to a plant, and can use limited magic because of it. No one knows how or why, but it could be tied to something called Determination. Only humans with powerful souls can access Determination at this caliber.

So with your determination to continue on, you press forward! Will you decide a fate of hope, or will you find out who the real monster is in the end? The choice is yours.

This is a completely fan-made work. Undertale and all the characters belong to Toby "Radiation" Fox and TemmieChang. I do not own Undertale. I do own this spin off of the original game.

I am currently working on spritesheets for the characters in this game. I do not have all the assets I need to create a demo yet. I'll update my progress on here, and when I have everything I need I'll begin developing a demo. Thank you.
