Decided to do some work on the battle system, since that is a teeny bit more important than Patches

The radial menu overlay really wasn't working out the way I had hoped, so I went back to my original PM idea. I actually got it working the way I want this time, which is awesome. The icons are a squidge off, but that's just cosmetics. Actually, I think I know the problem, and it won't be difficult to fix.

Originally I was going to start in on the actual battle motions, player choosing targets, targets choosing player, etc. But the action selection took a little longer than I thought. I tried to save it at first, should have just scrapped it from the start. Oh well. At least I have a pretty clear path of where to go from here

I mean, not my Gramma and Grampa, but someone's, right?

Working on battles. A little different than last time, aesthetically, but still the same basic idea

Lots of modeling the last few days. Got some houses made, remade some of my terrain blocks (rebuilt the harbor), and started on the NPC models. Also worked on the battle system and the follower system, now with 1/10th the code but 10x more efficient

But doesn't he look so much more prepared for adventure?

And yes, she is carrying a deer foot staff, modeled after one hanging in our house

Did some more work trying to fix up whatever went wrong and...yeah, let's just cut to the end where it didn't work

Started a new project, made some changes, derped around a little, made this cute little guy

With exception of some minor odds and ends, the home interior sheet is finished, which means I can start on all the levels. The next house (level 9) is an old farmhouse, the kind that had a bazillion rooms

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
