Deltarune is the first cross-buy game for Switch and Switch 2, but S2 version has extra features

What is Deltarune?

Deltarune is an episodic role-playing video game developed by Toby Fox, the creator of the critically acclaimed game Undertale.

It can be considered a parallel story or a "spiritual successor" to Undertale rather than a direct sequel, taking place in a different world with mostly new characters, as well as some familiar faces.

What's this about cross-buying on Switch?

If you buy it on one console, you automatically get it on both. No upgrade fees for the Switch 2 version, etc.

The Switch 2 version has higher resolution, an exclusive mouse-controlled minigame, and other unique features.

  • The game releases on 5th June on Switch, PC and other consoles

  • If you buy the Switch version at launch, then get a Switch 2 a few months or years later, you automatically unlock the enhanced Switch 2 version too

  • Deltarune's first 2 chapters have been available for a while, but this is now the full 4 chapter game.
