Corruption Part 2: Electric Boogaloo
The other day when i tried to open the game to work on it for the first time in about 3 weeks i was met with a startup crash that pretty much made me think the whole thing was corrupted AGAIN.
I tried literally everything. I verified the engine files in the launcher, disabled and eventually deleted plugins, changed the editor startup map, edited .INI files, deleted some assets, hell i even deleted and reinstalled the editor and still nothing. until i realized that i had all of my projects stored on a Onedrive synced folder.. So i put the projects folder onto my main drive and it still didn't work, i was pretty pissed and ready to give up until somehow it just decided to open like nothing had ever happened.
I'm extremely glad that i was able to find a solution because if i would have lost all that progress for the second time, i honestly think i would have either taken a long break or quit.
Almost everything is restored other than some missing assets and messed up fog and volumetric lighting, oh well.
What this means:
I’m going to be more careful and make occasional backups now, and hopefully this won’t happen again because it’s actually just on my main drive now.
Also there almost definitely won't be a Devlog this month because of this and my 3 week long break i took, so just have this ominous screenshot for now.
