Get Out

I’m continuing to build out the basics!
(added an inventory, a few items, and a pause menu)

Any thoughts?

I’m still working on the core systems for the game. This time I added an inventory with 6 slots. I built the logic for picking up items, adding them to the inventory, and showing them in the correct slot. Next I’m planning to expand the system so you can drop items, use them, and display item quantities. I’ll be honest — I’m using AI for the item icons.

Next up is the pause menu. For now it’s just an early version and only the “quit” and “resume” buttons work, but I’ll keep improving it later.

Overall, I’m continuing to add mechanics first, then I’ll expand and improve them, and after that I’ll move on to polishing.

I’ll keep sharing updates!

Hey everyone!

I’m working solo with UE4 on a small atmospheric horror project (demo version).

Here are a few screenshots. I’m trying to balance darkness and visibility. Also working on making the comfortable HUD.

What do you think about it?

I added radioactive zones. They have a harmful effect on the player and are dangerous areas, but they contain pretty good loot.

I decided to implement the main menu directly inside the game using real in-game objects. Of course, it’s not something super “wow,” but in my opinion it pretty nice.

What do you think?
