I've been hard at work on the new framework for Acre Shore! I have created the most advanced iteration of my narrative syntax to date- the version I am building the final product with.

A surprising majority of the code is done!

It might not look much (yet), but a lot of work has been done on the internal mechanics of the game. The new narrative syntax I have built for the game allows me to write the script outside of the coding environment and even get help translating the game into other languages.

I have a custom variable system that I can use to expand the narrative beyond your dialogue choices. Characters will remember things you have said and done which will affect the story much further than a standard branching dialogue tree.

I have also opted for using sketches of the characters as stand-ins for the final artwork as I found my reliance on creating the artwork was slowing my progress on code.

I don't want to speak too soon, but the project is starting to move very quickly. I won't rush, but it is beginning to feel like the game is within reach!

Going Down, psychological horror RPG about difficult choices and memories best forgotten on an elevator ride.

The story of 'Going Down' is falling into place nicely. The visuals are looking lovely. The atmosphere is spooky with more than a touch of mystery.

I am very happy with progress!

"All of it... amounts to this..."

We've been quiet but busy. Time for an update!

Both the game and the TV show of The Last of Us have been praised for their depiction of Bill. In 2013, GLAAD described the game's Bill as being "as deeply flawed but wholly unique a gay character found in any storytelling medium this year."
