New Bug Alert! 🦋⚠️

I always appreciated that games like Pokémon gave both cute and cool options to its creature choices (Bulbasaur vs. Charmander), so I wanted to offer a scarier alternative to my game's cutesy caterpillars and snails!

Okay, I do a color sketch for every INSECTILE before I commit to its design. I normally don't share them but LOOK AT HOW THE EARTHWORM TURNED OUT! DONUT!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

I was worried the "blockers" in INSECTILE would annoy players - but many cited them as the best parts of the demo!

So, I'm working on new blocker types today : ) Bees leave honey splotches and water skimmers have armor that pops like bubble wrap!
