Randy's Crazy Mission!

Here are two pieces of character artwork from my game. The first piece is of a duck character named "Quackers". There's not that much to say about him, he's mostly just a funny character you mostly meet in level 1 who likes to play instruments, like the accordion concertina. He doesn't talk, only quacks, so most of his humor is visual. There is one hilarious scene I came up with involving him and another character. I don't want to spoil it though.

The other piece shows a squirrel character named "Corny", short for "Cornelius". He's actually one of the main characters of the game. I'm sorry if this sounds insane for people unfamiliar with this, but his role in the game within the game is that of the antagonist, as he is in the cartoon commercials it's based on. And as the characters point out, he's a pretty "lame" antagonist at that. He likes to act more sinister than he actually is.

If you want to see more information and artwork of these characters I just showed, here is the blog post covering them:

There's also a bit of new development info in that blog post as well.

This is the intro splash screen I will use for my game(s).

Along with this, I posted some more art for my game in a new blog post. Here's the post: https://jakerileygamedevblog.com/2024/12/28/indie-game-art-showc…

I hooked up my laptop to a television and ran my (unfinished) game on it. I wanted to see what it’d look like on a TV.

These are some unfinished bits of code from a dialogue “topics” script in my game that I use for textboxes (each line of text represents one textbox). Some of these are probably pretty weird if you don't know about my game.

I was mad that they made Alastor's 2nd form so lame, so here is my art of scary alastor, straight from the fairytales, not just with some goofy ahh tentacles

These are pictures I used as placeholder graphics in the game I’m making (Randy’s Crazy Mission!) back when I started game development and was going to make it in Unity (before I switched to GameMaker).
