Randy's Crazy Mission!

Randy's Crazy Mission! is going to be a game about a game within a game. In this game, you will jump into the world of a fictional, cartoon-based Atari 2600 platformer from 1982! You'll get the 2600 experience with a new, fully-animated, 70s cartoon-inspired lens! There's something that needs to be addressed however... the game is, well, poorly made. You'll have to play through a whopping six levels of frustrating gameplay.

However, upon beating it, the in-game characters will go on with their lives after a disappointed customer puts away the game they call home. Randy, the player character, sets off on his own crazy mission separate from the one programmed for his game, to show his family that he's capable of things other than what someone controls him to do. You will replay the six levels from the base game (along with a few new courses), but they'll improve. On top of that, you'll also be able to talk to an array of colorful characters. The new versions of the levels will even feature nods to classic games of the time period with some unique spins.

Oh, and did I mention this story takes place during the North American video game crash of 1983? That's right, the plot will integrate the 1983 video game crash into it, as the in-game characters are actually aware of the industry and the then-current crash. Though, I'm not telling you how it factors into the plot.
