Super Paxton Palace DevLog No. 3: Model porting, Sunny mechanics, lighting:


Room Model Porting

So as Ryan finishes more of the models of the rooms for the restaurant, we have finally started to port the FINAL models into the game. (Replacing all of the old outdated rooms, as well as my VERY artistic white cubes :P) This is a big step towards playtesting which I am very happy with.


Sunny Event Rooms

The event rooms are a big part of Sunny's mechanics, and as I don't want to reveal tooo much about this I won't go into extreme detail, just know that this is a big thing that I have been working on, and I think that she will be a nice crutch for players as the rest of the animatronics attempt to rip you apart. But be aware she could hurt you as much as she could help you...


Lighting

Since the rooms are in the process of being ported in, this goes hand in hand with lighting. We have been playing around with the lighting a little bit already and we can see how well it will (hopefully) look once the polishing stage happens. This is definitely something to look forward to and I would show some pictures but again this is an ongoing process.


Overall Refactoring

A lot of overall technical refactoring has also been happening which has been one of our major slowdowns recently but with our recent developments hopefully everything picks up soon. This is all I really had prepared for this week but stay tuned for some more updates and more devlogs. We are going for weekly or bi-weekly devlogs so stay tuned for those.
