The official request for extra space in the event that the game build breaks the 1GB size limit is officially submitted. I originally wanted to wait until all of the images were done, but I figured it was best to take a pre-emptive approach.
The game will be uploaded here regardless, but the answer that I receive will determine whether or not all intended content will be included. The story, character sprites and achievement system are essential and small enough not to overwhelm the game, so they will stay. Some of the planned music may not make it in. Some of the CGs may be left out and replaced with regular sprite scenes. The game may not get a surprise fancy menu background like the demo did.
All in all, I thank each and every last person here who gave the demo a try whether they meant to help with the appeal or not. You really don't know how much it made my day when I looked at any of my games' analytics and saw that someone clicked the "play" button (mind you, that's all it tells me - even if you click it by accident and/or exit out after taking one look at the main menu screen, I will never know). Sometimes, during really dark moments, it saved me. As a bonus, it seems that demo players and page followers come from all corners of the world and not just in the USA. While that will eventually raise the question of additional languages for my work, I'm glad to see merit to that possibility!
For those of you that have not had a chance to play yet, don't worry - the demo is not going anywhere, so you can play anytime! From what l understand, the GameJolt site does make passive income from interaction and traffic of games being played enough, so you could end up helping both me and GJ as a whole without losing one red cent!
I will soon come back with more updates as we inch closer to the release window. I have decided to announce the final release date only when every file is finished as a safety measure. See you soon!
