Btw, I just added two death animations for the zombies and set them to randomize.

Just got back from work! Wanna make this quick. I ended up applying polymorphism, again. I turned the backdrop script I had into an abstract class and made UI and sprite-based adaptations of that. I'll explain in more detail after work tomorrow!
