In the far south of the Kingdom of Hyumance rests an ancient tower, which had remained undisturbed for at least 1000 years... until a few adventurers were nominated to disturb it.

Our arguably adequate adventurers have since explored the Tower of KYLE and claimed the treasure within. One treasure in particular, however, may have proven to be more trouble than it's worth.

It has been two months since Ardain, Istar, and Ryze's expedition, and the ramifications of their actions have since reared their ugly head. What challenges they must face in the beginning does depend on your choice at the start of the game, though...

The upcoming journey will take them far beyond the reaches of the kingdom, but they have little choice but to take on a new quest—a quest to destroy the cursed sword of KYLE.

However, hope is not lost for our heroes. There is a great deal of magical equipment to find while exploring. They also can make use of an encyclopedia listing every foe, item, and status effect they discover, and more! Nearly every enemy has some sort of pattern and weakness. Use your knowledge against them!

Although this is a sequel to The Tower of KYLE, this game should be possible to enjoy without having played it. However, there are spoilers for that game in this one.

Some Features:

-4-5 hours of main story content

-A bunch of optional mini-dungeons

-Fishing minigame (very important)

-Arena where you can win exclusive magic weapons, armor, and accessory for completing a string of encounters

-A few NPCs that'll move around at different points in the main story

kylesword demo 1.0.7

-Fixed the special dialogue with the front door guard at Castle Olrock. It will now appear in the correct route.

-Added a stealth mission late in the main quest in one of the routes.

Version 1.0.6 of the demo is now available.

This update includes a lot of miscellaneous fixes and adjustments. Autosaving is now enabled, for one.

At this point, the game is 65-ish% complete, and I expect to have the full version out late next week.

Hey, you know how I said I'd hold off on updating the game till next week?

Anyway, here's the patch notes for today's update for the Cursed Sword of KYLE demo. It'll be up soon after this post is up.

Update 1.0.4, is now up. It's also kinda big.

There are new status icons and a few general changes, but the most significant changes are in the towns. There are new NPCs, new dialogue, and a couple of NPCs will now change locations as you progress.

Okay, patch 1.0.3 is up now.

This patch is a pretty hefty one. It introduces several changes that make the earlygame (which is, like, the entire demo) less punishing, and more.

I appreciate any feedback I get. That is why I released the demo, after all...

The second patch is up. It's a brief one.

kylesword demo 1.0.2

-Clover Lake Grove now has a proper battle background

-Removed Kivari's "pun intended" line after the Murkwoods boss because it seemed a bit too on the nose...

The first patch for The Cursed Sword of KYLE Demo is now up. There are a few balance changes and text fixes.

The article gets into the details.
