The "game over" system is a little different this time around, now as long as you have at least 50 bits(game currency) you can keep playing, if ya don't then game over. So make sure to save the game every time you're going to battle.

Another thing that's different is the character packs, now getting duplicates of the same character will make them level up instead of just giving you bits.
