More progress on proper Retro-Style Ledge behavior for Capsule bodies. Why is it important? Capsules offer great slope navigation, but bad Ledge behavior. Proper Ledge behavior is essential for Retro jump precision and consistency. #UnrealEngine

I failed to make the FGC GameJam deadline but I am VERY proud the work the team did. We have decided to finish the demo anyway, after some rest 😵‍💫

This is a general #UnrealEngine tool, not specifically for the Mega Man project. It can copy the data from ANY Blueprint or C++ UPROPERTY variable, and copy it back to any compatible variable. Could lead to making Save States for Rollback Netcode.

I just had an absolute FREAK OUT MELTDOWN because I noticed Kirby was missing a tooth. Turns out dogs lose their baby teeth like humans do, so false alarm 😅

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

This is an example of what I was talking about last week when I say that Physics Boxes in modern engines are not good for Character Alignment on Slopes in 2D games. I think Physics Capsules are a great middle ground solution. #gamedev #pixelart

Project(s) & Health Update

I'm alive! I have been resting a lot after the brutal game jam crunch... We didn't make the deadline, but the team is very invested and determined, so we'll finish the demo-

Junior came in and sat with me for a while at the desk. He's a good boy, and very friendly. I was cleaning my WiiU Pro controller, because it was dropping inputs, but that didn't fix it...

When Dr Wily goes HARDSTYLE

More Game Jam progress. I had to remake the basic 2D alignment system cause I did it wrong... It's a bit more complex than it seems, since it is made for 2.5D. I can now easily add lock-on, and other location based features. #gamedev
