700 eggs it took to get that shiny Shroomish! (I have the shiny charm and a Japanese Ditto for Masuda-hatching) 
On the flip side 323 and 300 eggs to get two shiny Charcadet. RNG is a strange beast… 
I hate it when people say I know nothing about Pokemon because my favorite Pokemon is Pikachu, the amount of Pokemon cards I have says otherwise....
