Five Nights at Drakam’s: NightNothing

Version: 1.0.110 days ago
The game. It is NOT A VIRUS.

I’m sorta shadow dropping this ig.

This game is a direct sequel to my other FNaF fan game, Five Nights at Drakam’s Prototype. So it follows its lore and some of its gameplay. This will be a MASSIVE lore dump in the series.

THIS GAME IS MEANT TO BE A CHALLENGE. It is one, 12 minute long night that will slowly become harder as time goes on. Cameras will be a massive part of the gameplay and quick reaction speed will be necessary. Multitasking and remembering certain threats will be mandatory to win, and LISTEN to the Phone Man call, it provides crucial information.

Story (continued after the FNaD Prototype): You, against all odds, even after being told specifically not come back after completing your final night shift, decide to come back to the crumbling Drakam’s Awesome Food Factory on its last night ā€œopenā€ before it has to be demolished, one last shift. A pointless shift. A ā€œnothing nightā€. When you arrive, everything is different. The glitched energy from the factory has completely taken it over, and the shadows are enveloping it. There is no power, and the office’s doors are bored shut, with the wall in front of you torn open for anything to sneak in. The Glitched Executives are nowhere to be found, only new ā€œGlitched Shadowsā€ stalk the halls, and they too are looking to bl4ckl1st you. You’ll have to use lures to get the shadows away, check cameras, seal vents, use your flashlight and try to find out what (or who) is causing all the glitches in the Factory to happen, and why.

This was actually meant to originally be part of the OG FNaD prototype as an extra mode, but night nothing had such vastly different mechanics and characters I decided to make it to it’s own short game. Again, I’m new at making games, so this isn’t the best quality, but it will definitely be playable. It will be a singular night (but very long, around 9 minutes) that will be challenging and pretty hard. I hope you guys like it!

Introducing new mechanics, characters and lore to help set up the series better.

JUST NEED TO ADD SOUND MIGHT BE DONE THE GAME FULLY EITHER TOMORROW OR DAY AFTER (tomorrow is one of my busiest days of the week so expect the 24th)

I made the ending cutscene and it is TUFF šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ Won’t show here because it contains MASSIVE spoilers.

Now just working on 1 more character's a.i., INI saving, testing, sound and an extras menu.

UPDATE: Done INI now just extras, sound and testing

Just made the camera toggle and vent seal mechanics (code was VERY messy but it works) and I’m now making the a.i of the threat that attacks from the vents, ā€œShade Kadeā€ (above). His a.i. is probably going to be more random and challenging than the rest.

Added new better a.i. to game

Read article to see more (since GameJolt doesn’t like longer posts)

The mask animation and mechanic is actually working way better than I thought it would.

It’s gonna be annoying though because I couldn’t figure out how to code a ā€œhoverā€ so you can’t hover over the mask button to wear it and have to click, but whatever.

Goofy news for the game and update on development (not anything serious, read article)

The trailer for the new FNaD game.

The game is coming together, added a new mechanic that wasn't in the FNaD Prototype and it's actually working pretty well. Here's a "prototype" office reveal, too.

Completely normal quick devlog on FNaD: NightNothing (first time writing a devlog like this):

Working on it. Won’t reveal much until it’s super close to done. And it’s definitely gonna take a while.
