INTRODUCTION

Matrix Brain Twister is a puzzle game, where you have to solve matrices by filling all blocks with the same color. If a block is clicked, the block itself and its horizontal and vertical neighbours will change their color instead of a rotation like the Rubic's Cube. The matrix is solved, if all blocks are filled with the same color, except white.

This is a very simple game mechanic, but can lead to very difficult riddles.
True to the motto: Easy to learn, hard to master.

FEATURES

  • 2D, 3D and 4D matrices

  • Several matrix formats like: 2D (Hourglass, Skull, Star, etc.), 3D (Octahedron, Pyramid, Sphere, etc.), 4D (Hypecube, Pentachoron, Octaplex, etc.)

  • 600 handcrafted levels which varies from easy to hard difficulty

  • Random levels can be generated for your own fun and you can change them in dimension, format, size and colors

  • Solve all handcrafted riddles to not only get achievements, but also to be at the top of the leaderboard

  • Create your own feel-good atmosphere by choosing between different backgrounds, effects, light moods, block styles, music and atmosphere sounds

At last, I have also created 30 new handcrafted levels for the 3D Cubic Edge 5x5x5 matrix.

This one is one of the easier 3D matrices.

The update with all the shown content will be available in a few hours today on Steam.

In addition to the japanese alley, I created a new lighting mood. It is called "Cloudburst" and has some cloudy lighting. These clouds are also animated and move away from the player view.

It has also a dim effect, like going from inside to outside.

*moved post to game*

Now the same japanese alley from another viewpoint. You can change the view by clicking LMB on the front trash bin.

The order of the pictures is the same as for the other post, to make them easier to compare with the same lighting.

For the next update I created a new interactive background, a japanese alley. You can click with LMB on each lantern or sign board to turn on/off the light or press RMB to turn on/off all lights.

I will also create a seperate view for this one.

Beside the back-end update and the additional views for the victorian backgroud, with the upcoming update there will be also 30 new handcrafted levels for the 4D Hypercrown 3x3x3x3 matrix.

This one looks easier than other 4D matrices, but it is not.

Here is the last of the 4 view directions of the victorian city background.

On the right side are small businesses, while on the left are apartments. At the end of the street is the big kathedral which can have a nice glow of light for some lighting mood.

It goes on with the 3rd of 4 view directions of the victorian background.

This time you see on both street sides apartments with a tree on the left front. The town hall is visible at the end of the road.

To change the view, click on one street name sign.

Here is the 2. of 4 view directions for the Victorian City background to choose from.

This one shows the business street with apartments on the right, a business building on the left and a broker hall at the end of the road in different lighting moods.

A big back-end update is on the way. The most visible change is about the lighting. It should now flicker less and the noise is reduced.
Moreover I am working on the Victorian City background. This is 1 of 4 possible view directions. More will come later.

For the next update I created 30 new levels and achievements for the 4D Hypercubic Edge 3x3x3x3 matrix.
It looks tougher to solve than it actually is. But either way I would recommend it only for players who has some experience with the easiest 4D matrix.
