R1VENÂ is a non-traditional yume nikki-inspired game, where the player goes to sleep, fights enemies and collects "Dream Cores" but its optional and leads to multiple routes. Combat is a major part of the game with Riven encountering multiple enemies through the game and bosses. Each world features sub-locations and areas but the demo does not feature any effects.

Your name is Riven, and you have been stuck in your dream world named "Mindscape" for a while now. Real life only sounds like an intermission between dreams to you. You and your friends explore the depths of "Mindscape" as they uncover the subconsciousness of yours, discovering your deepest memories, events from childhood and maybe your worst fears.
