A mini update and a PSA.

Hello there!

Apologies for the awkward silence but I had issues when working on the game. More specific, Windows 10 did not work on me after a period of time (the menu did not load at all) resulting in clean install to fix it up. Thankfully, most of the project files were backed up, however, the project files for the launcher were lost. I’m re-writing it right now, but I am writing it in C# instead of VB.NET. Why? Mostly for expanding it’s capabilities where the original version could not. It may also help in enabling the Auto Backup system to backup the save files even when you launch the game bypassing the launcher. Plus it’s easier for me to build it since I am a lot familiar with C#. It’s official name (for now) is Northbridge (named after the chipset responsible for communication between vital components of the computer and the processor). I have also upgraded my laptop so I can work more efficent (and debug it better). This does not affect the system requirements however.

In addition, I am working on upgrading the engine stack (that’s how I refer the collection of scrips that I use) to add a few additional features (enchanced audio, Gamejolt API support, etc).

Finally, I am slowing down the frequency of the news to once per 14 days after the last post, because I am a student at a university (I’m studying for Compuet Science if you are wondering) and it’s harder for me to keep up with it and develop the game. I feel like I am in a cross-fire. I understand you, but please keep in mind that I have my own life and I can’t devote 100% to my game because of this. I hope you understand.

To close this on a possitive note, Immortal Sins has hit 4k+ views! I’d like to thank you for your interest in the game and the Disc 1 update will arrive full force in Spring next year!

That is all for now. Catch you guys and gals on the next post.

Waz zis? An overhauled map? Yes. Coming soon.

Added achievements. Because why not?

Done some improvements to the backup system. Even added an icon to let you know that it's working.

Added the option to rebuild the cache. This will clear the cache and then decompress the files from the packages.

A small teaser for the next update.

It's still pretty early work, but I am working on making the UI more dynamic and sleek. Including faces changing depending on their HP.

It's pretty early, but here's a look at a mob manager, handling the enemies in the game. The code streamlines the programming of the enemies. Hopefully, I can expand it to more useful ways.

Jump List returns in the next update.

Enjoy a nice dish, get a nice buff. What's not to like?

Wrote a tool that installs the game's dependencies. That means Northbridge will always use the latest version of the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.
