I'm revising the date of #InsectileContest just a bit!

Since the winner will not be decided until at least Monday morning, I will be accepting submissions through Sunday night : ) There is still plenty of time to design your own puzzlingly-shaped bug!

It may just be me, but I think this effect is really cute:

With Bubble, you can build a temporary shield. Each tile placed soaks up 1 damage from the next round of attacks. I was inspired by Diving Bell Spiders : )

Am I able to make a spider cute?

Madeline is the main protagonist of the mountain climbing platformer, Celeste. The game has been praised for its visuals, gameplay, and introspective narrative. The game's creator Maddy Thorson confirmed that Madeline is trans in 2020.

🎨 I'm hosting the Insectile Design Contest!

Dive into the cozy post-apocalyptic open world of Critter Cove!

Gentleman Rat Studios (@GR-Rob ) describe it as “a little bit Animal Crossing, a little bit Stardew Valley. Maybe even a little bit Windwaker, too."

It's time for honorable mentions! 🐞🎉 [Article!]

Trying out something new!

I have a long-form video coming out in about an hour. Give it a watch if you like creature collectors, challenge runs, or just hearing devs talk!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

As I'm reviewing the entries for #InsectileContest, I'd love some feedback on the new bug collecting animation!

How can I make it more satisfying? (Or soul crushing, for failures?)
