It works on several levels, I feel; it's their last name, you're on a quest to reforge Cy's body, and they're forging a sisterly bond.

Her name's probably Lydia, or Lyd. In the world of Slime'N' Sk8Boi, she specializes in "figure sliming". She might have to take supplements in order to compete with the gastropod athletes, but not much.
