What do you think?

This game is going to be 🔥

I love the design of the snail in the game!

yo.. we’re both making bug games.. your Insectile, my Bugable… sorry if my games idea was to close to yours..

Looks interesting and charming, even though I myself don't like bugs, I'm looking forward to it!

I've heard this is a collection game, I LOVE THOSE!

This game is so cute and pretty!!! The art, the mechanics, gaaaah! I need to spare money to buy this!

Find bugs, catch bugs, and piece bugs together! Explore a huge, whimsical world as a little mushroom in this clever, turn-based RPG about puzzlingly-shaped insects!

There's a Mario 64 interview where the developers claimed they wanted the avatar to feel like a little hamster scurrying around.
Given Insectile's unique scale, I'm trying to capture that same cute and frantic feeling... just with puzzle blocks, too :)

I tried my hardest to make even Insectile's button prompts cute. Did it work?

Writing music is hard, but I hope you enjoy!

Insectile has these occasional rooms that break from typical RPG level design and are almost more 3D Mario-esc.

They are almost always completely optional, but I think they'll make for excellent variety!

I'm currently writing bestiary flavor text... What kinds of little bits of flavor do you all like seeing in games?

Are these names fun? Cute? Nonsense?
I am trying out this defamiliarized naming scheme for the different species in Insectile. I'd love any feedback!

Unlike any indie game I've done before, I have this goal with Insectile that the maps should feel "cute" even when zoomed out.
At some point, I'd love to do a time lapse of me building one of these rooms :)

I've been hard at work on level design sketches the past couple weeks. Maybe I'll post some soon so you all can peek at my process! Stay tuned :)

I'm working on cutscene features like smooth camera movements. Enjoy a snippet of this prototype tutorial!

Working on designing an underground tile set for my indie game. Am I on the right track?
