The fact that this game has less than at least 1,000 followers is a sin.

I love your style! Gorgeous. I'm excited for its release.

The Ballad of Lone Phoenix is a retro open world western game where you continually re-live a single day in order to save the final remnants of civilization.

As you become familiar with the events of the day, you will not only uncover the sinister plot that unfolds, but you will also alter it. As you react to the day, the villan reacts to you.

The town of Lone Buzzard was a thriving little community before the Great Tragedy hit. Like the rest of the world, the town was destroyed. But a small group of survivors managed to take refuge inside a nearby cave. It took several years, but the town has been reborn in that cave. Dubbed Lone Phoenix, it stands as humanity's last hope for the survival of civilization.

You can choose to play as one of four different characters, each
with their own playstyle and customization options.

The Mysterious Cowboy who knows nothing about where he came from, or how he managed to wander into the small secluded town. While he's a natural with his trusty six guns and helps with odd jobs around the town, he has yet to earn their trust during the months he has lived among them. Maybe after saving the town, the townspeople will finally accept him.

The Young Boy who desperately wants to be treated like a man. He has been sheltered and protected his entire life, and now he wants to use his tomahawk to prove that he is no longer a helpless child. Maybe after saving the town, the townspeople will finally respect him.

The Successful Businesswoman who controls the town's businesses and is disliked due to her obsessive drive for success and wealth. Her parasol that once only served to block the glares of disgruntled townspeople can also be used as an effective weapon during her noble quest. Maybe after saving the town, the townspeople will finally like her.

The Quiet Girl who can never gain the attention of the townspeople. She feels like just another human trying to rush her way through the hostile world to find survival. She doesn't use a weapon, but she's fast enough to not need one. Maybe after saving the town, the townspeople will finally notice her.

The Ballad of Lone Phoenix is a game inspired by both retro and modern games alike. Inspiration was taken from past adventure games like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening & Majora's Mask, and from modern open-world games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The Ballad of Lone Phoenix is a game that looks to bridge the nostalgia of the past with the modern design principles of today.

How often will you be posting to this devlog?
I post 3 times a week. On Monday I talk about the plans for the future, on Friday I look back on what's been done the previous week. And I post a screenshot or GIF on Saturday.
I'll be posting a GIF or Screenshot each Friday until I finish working on spoiler-y story content.

Release date?
There is currently no set release date. It's a big game that I'm doing almost all the work on and there are a ton of things that could go wrong.

Is there a demo?
There is a bare-bones pre-alpha doesn't-have-much demo on the devlog, here's a link to the devlog post: Devlog Post
I haven't "officially" added it here on the devlog because I really don't think it showcases the full vision for the game. It's just a tiny slice of what the game will be.

Will this play on a gameboy?
No.

Will it be free?
Since so much time and money went into making it, the final release will not be free. The final price has not been determined yet, but it will definitely be affordably priced. I want the price to be low enough so that anyone who wants to play can.

Will you release this game for any other platform?
I would love to put it on as many consoles and storefronts as possible. But each release requires more money. So it all depends on how well the game does when it's released.

If you have any questions about the game, feel free to comment! I'd love to talk more about my game!

Thank you for checking out The Ballad of Lone Phoenix!
