Who is the main character? Myles or Susan?

Yes.

...all right, I'll elaborate.

When I came up with this game's story, the main character, for the most part, was Myles Taylor. I designed him first. However, as the story and gameplay decisions developed, Susan Abernathy was going to be Player 2. She becomes playable first, because I don't want players to latch on to just the one character, and it made more sense narratively.

They are co-protagonists. Both of them are important to the story.

If I show too much favoritism one way or another, I'm afraid other players will play favorites, too, but I guess that's inevitable no matter what I do. The point is, neither one is the "lesser" character unless you decide it.

I've been working on some character portraits. Since I've got six out of eight levels, I might as well focus on story elements like this one.

Now I can't stop thinking about Tony Jay's voice in Time Bandits.

I hope you appreciate what I go through for pointless details like this.

I don't plan on going this crazy too much, though.

Like I said before, draw_background_tiled_ext() can't do rotation. ...but if I'm not rotating, I can use it without consequence for an infinite floor.

I'm gonna work on a system for the road to constantly spawn objects as I move forward in a sequence.

How did you expect a backpack to talk?

A rather interesting thing I forgot about...

All this work to get punched in the face.

This is the driving sequence in action.

I don't have any original music for that part, and I can imagine that passing-through-flags sound getting annoying after a while.

Part of the expansion involves a cute little fight right here. ...in space for no apparent reason.

...too bad it won't be as epic as the final boss, but still...

I felt some mechanics were underutilized, so I'm making an expansion.

...more or less just a side quest and extra dungeon. No more than that here.

Coming who-knows-when.

I'm getting closer to my goal here.

All these rock piles are gonna loop indefinitely for now. My goal is to make the road widen, tighten, and move side-to-side with the walls.

...and replace the grassy floor with something more fruitcake-like.
