Story Teaser ✍🏻
Quiet. Dark. Alone. You clutch your injured head after being unconscious for- you can't recall. With your injured body you slowly start to drift back into reality and you start remembering the past. Ship, voices, squad. You push further. Drop zone, weapons, enemy, surprise attack. You continue clutching your head. Alarm, explosion, escape pod. With the light coming from your helmet, you stop to look around the claustrophobic interior. You find a Magnum, a Misriah Armory Custom, is all you can remember about it. You grasp the handle and rip it from it's slot, causing a few sparks to fly. You check the chamber, nothing. You search for the magazine slot, you find the magazine on the floor of the pod. You insert it into the Magnum and charge it. You fire off 3 shots into the glass hatch and punch it. The window comes crashing apart. You lean down and climb out of the pod into the rain...
GamePlay Overview 🎮
Perspective wise, everything will be viewed and played from a top-down view point. That is, looking down towards the top of your character from up in the air. This does not include cut-scenes.
In terms of combat, most encounters will be CQB, with the exception of more open areas for sniping.
Because you are not a Spartan, you have a limited amount of Health, and Armor that you have to maintain throughout the game. With the addition of Stamina, forcing your to plan you rushes and retreats carefully.
What to expect encounters to be like: You, as a player, have a choice. Whether you want to rush the enemy head on, or flank them from behind, the decision is entirely up to you. With the addition of Equipment, you can use it to Eliminate, Distract, or Lure enemies to your advantage and give you the upper hand.
Squads or team orders are not planned at all, as the main focus is a single player experience without Bots ruining the combat/experience.
Enemies will be much harder to take out in this game. I'm not talking bullet sponges, I'm talking smart, resourceful entities that will leave you guessing their next move, or full on retreating.
