So yeah, I finished all the secret bonus art and goodies that I originally planned to include and the game size is still under the 1GB limit so there will be more surprises in store for serious players!
Art style preference aside, the visuals should all retain their quality when uploaded to the web (as I have put them in web-friendly file formats that dramatically reduced the size) and should all appear correctly when I have finished debugging the build. This may also tackle an issue of performance, as heavier games tend not to perform as well in certain browsers. That being said, I would like to remind you all that Chrome browser on PC is the best choice for playing the full game, though I will endeavor to test it on Microsoft Edge as well. The game is also proven to work somewhat on mobile browsers, though some of the quality may be lost.
The real test will be the sound. I thank those of you who have played the game and reported back to me on the sound's performance. Adding every intended song in the best format for web did not break the 1GB limit, so it's safe to say the game can be uploaded without further trouble (just in case, I have emailed back GJ support).
All that is left to do now is code the assets where they belong as variables, fix their logic so they work as intended, and TEST TEST TEST. This will take a minute, but miraculously we are still on schedule for being "in range" of the target release date (will announce soon).
In the meantime, please play the available #demo on the game page and encourage other people to give it a try as well!
