What is Boosting?

Boosting is a simple way to get more eyes on your content—whether it’s a post, a game page, or a profile. When you boost something, it will appear on more user Following and For You feeds and recommendation panels across Game Jolt, helping you reach new people and fans. You can purchase a boost for yourself or gift it to a friend from the Shop.

Where do I purchase a boost?

What can I boost?

  • A post that has an image, poll or video

  • A game

  • A profile

How long can I boost for?

  • A day (24 hours)

  • A week (5 days)

  • A month (28 days)

Are there requirements?

  • Anything you want boosted must abide by our Site Guidelines, Terms of Use and Privacy Policies.

  • If you're boosting a post, it must either have an image, a poll or a video attached to it. (Currently, we can't boost text-only posts)

How does it work?

1. Buy a boost pack from the shop based on what you want to boost and for how long.

2. Email [email protected] with:

  • The subject line “Boost Request”

  • The URL of the post, game page, or profile you want to boost

  • The date you want the boost to start at least 48 hours in advance. (Dates are not guaranteed but we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Be sure to give us as much of a heads up as you can)

  • Make sure to email us from the same email tied to the Game Jolt account you used to buy the boost. We can't go live with the boost until you do.

  • We'll confirm once your boost is approved and active!

Gift a boost to another Game Jolt user

  • Purchase the boost as a gift (click the gift icon) and send it to your friend at checkout and we'll let your buddy know of your kind gesture.

Received a boost from a Game Jolt user?

If you've received a profile boost as a gift, Game Jolt staff will boost your profile as soon as we're able to. No need to email us.

To redeem a post or a game page boost that you've been gifted, email [email protected] with:

  • The subject line “Boost Request”

  • The URL to boost based on the type of boost you were gifted (post or game)

  • The date you want the boost to start at least 48 hours in advance. (Dates are not guaranteed but we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Be sure to give us as much of a heads up as you can)

  • Make sure to email us from the same email tied to the Game Jolt account that received the gift. We can't go live with the boost until you do.

  • We'll confirm once your boost is approved and active!

Can I return a boost I've purchased?

  • Unfortunately we cannot accept returns so be absolutely sure before you buy a boost pack from the shop.

Approval process

Make sure the email you're emailing [email protected] from is the same account you've used to purchase the boost. Otherwise, we cannot complete your order until you email us from the email address associated with the account you've purchased the boost from.

We will decline a boost at our discretion, especially if it violates our Site Guidelines or Terms of Use policies. There are no returns allowed on boosts, purchase at your own risk.
