Contra Hardcorps is my favorite game because aside of being a Contra game, it has 4 playables with their own weapon set and it has 4 paths to play.
It's rare for me to have good sidekicks in games I've played. Except for Tails 
who is really useful in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3
