Nintendo in Retro & Homebrew Games

Press Start

"Rad Racer" was one of the first NES games I owned & I wasn't initially enthused by it. It sat un-played for 3 years. One day a friend wanted to try it. We took turns playing & as I learned to play it, I enjoyed it a lot. Now it's one of my favorites.

This my "Super Mario" golden coin, featuring Wario, from Frankford candies. The coin and two stickers are inside of an, honestly medioce chocolate orb, and I like them all much more than I expected too.

There's a million hidden features that go into building a game engine. Even more so on the NES!

So I thought it would be fun to take stock of everything that's gone into my current NES game (a platformer inspired by Zelda 2 + Mega Man + Metroid).

There ain't much here yet - but I love my little Famicom :)
I'd like a disk system, and they're usually easy to fix - next time I'm in Japan I'll pick up a bunch >:)

Ahem

I know this is for the NES, and not the SNES, and even less the Super Famicom, but I don't care

I LOVE MARIO & WARIO RAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
