A fast paced physics platformer made for a game jam!

Acceleroll is about speed an finding new, faster ways to get to the goal. Bounce through obstacles, rank up insane air time, and try to beat your record time!

This game was made with the game jam theme "Evolution". So you will have a variety of powerups and evolutions to reach otherwise impossible areas. From anti-gravity, to slowing down time, even a pair of wings to glide across long distances!

All of this takes place in a variety of 3D environments, from a lush tropical bay, to the deep sea, to scorching hot desert sands, even outer space!

Acceleroll is accompanied by a 2000s inspired EDM/dance soundtrack that keeps your heart racing and your energy high. All of the game's assets, code, and sound was made by me in the span of about a month.

The game is also bundled with a side target mode, where you have to aim and time to land on platforms and get a high score. All at your own pace on a cozy endless ocean. In case you need some down time from the action.

Clickity Clack. I love the sound these make. I set it up so every ball collision makes this noise so you get all these super clacky sounds and I love it.

Huge progress 🎯! The target minigame touch up is nearly complete. I basically coded the entire thing from scratch. It's really fun now! This is how I wanted it in the game jam but time made it difficult.

Target is getting a huge rework. I basically rewrote the movement code from scratch. You now have to actually fly and steer to score. It also makes multipliers harder.

In editor footage of controller support on UI

It will only support Xbox controllers natively.

Target is getting a minor addition, multipliers! They multiply your score. And yes it is cumulative (all by x2), so a multiplier 4 * this powerup would be 8, thus leading to an x8 score (if you can land safely).

I spent most of day working on UI. I can officially say 100% of the game is playable on an Xbox controller! Also updated the tutorial sprites to reflect that.

In the new mode you can find an updated variant of the desert levels! Thick sandstorms, howling winds, fog, limited visibility. Can you make it to the goal safely?

Spent the remainder of the night making some fun unlockables (if a bit silly), also spent more time on the remix mode. I added this lava lake section, I think it looks nice (GIF).

Teaser for visuals of a new mode. Only visuals at the moment. This is for a new mode that will contain remixed stages (gameplay and environments), and for this level the visuals are a thunderstorm! No level design yet...

Working on a patch/content update. I've been fixing some problems. Settings will soon save after editing. Also I've been fixing tons of UVs. Now it looks all nice and square (Pictures show a few updated UVs in editor). So much better!
