Update (new patch 1.9.2): I've gotten some good feedback, and I've figured out why the d-pad doesn't work on some (most?) controllers. It's... a clumsy mistake on my part. Literally two lines of code was all it took to fix it. Whoops.
Time to grab some coffe and get to these bug fixes and next upcoming update that will be releasing very soon

I just downloaded Game Maker and made work with Linux. Now, I have no clue what to do now.
I feel so dumb 
If I do figure out how to make something, what would be the easiest thing to first start out with?
