Life’s a Beach – Demo gives you early access to brand-new content that isn’t in the full game yet. Explore a Texas-themed slice of the United States—complete with the Metro Rail, a giant chili dog landmark, and fast, smooth traversal—while previewing one of the game’s signature comedy sequences.

The demo exists to showcase where the game is headed. The full version on Steam includes more comedy bits, more movie sequences, and the full set of challenge sections, while this demo contains exclusive Texas exploration content that will appear in a future update to the main game.

Installation Instructions

if physics don't work or if the game doesn't launch you may have to follow the following instructions. if you ever have installed any games on steam. dxwebsetup.exe will already be installed. however you may need to install physx. if you don't install physx physics may not work properly in the game. it's possible it may work. cpu based physx may not require the driver. you can download it just in case but it's not required.

open the dxwebsetup.exe this rarely needs to be installed but if you haven't installed other games on steam such as if you have a new computer it may not be installed.

download physx 9.14 from itch.io. this is the physx steam uses and the effects from physx are definetly cooler on this version of physx.

run 1080p.bat or one of the other resolution bat files and enjoy the game.

Included in the Demo

• Texas Exploration
  Wander a Texas-themed area with unique landmarks such as the Metro Rail and a giant chili dog monument.
  (This area is NOT yet in the full game—it debuts here.)

• One In-Engine Comedy Sequence
  The demo includes the full porcupine sex joke exactly as it appears in the Steam build:
  “You know what I’ve always wondered about porcupine sex. They have all those quills and poison. It just seems dangerous to me and yet I’ve never heard of any porcupines dying from sex in the span of human history. It’s just something we never really think about.”

• No Challenge Sections Yet
  Colored platforms won’t activate anything in the demo—they’re placeholders for future content already present in the full game. These challenge sections are themed gameplay sections that include a comedy movie sequence that matches the theme.

• Local Multiplayer
  Two players can explore Texas together on the same screen.

• Explorer Mode
  Press 0 to activate Explorer Mode and boost acceleration while staying grounded.

• G shows controls
  Space jumps, and galloping increases speed. #adventure #multiplayer

These features exist in the full game but not in the demo:

• The eggs/abortion in-engine movie sequence

• All 7 themed challenge sections

• The full set of in-engine comedy bits
